JOB TITLE: Safety and Production Administrator
JOB DUTIES: Applying knowledge of engineering principles to assure safe operating condition of mechanical, electromechanical, optical, and electronic equipment in print production. Performing inspection, testing, and evaluation of operation of machinery and safety equipment to diagnose and correct cause of malfunction and potential hazards to safety in the print production and bindery rooms. Applying knowledge of engineering principles to test run repaired machinery and equipment to verify adherence to safety practices. Preparing reports or reviews of findings from accident investigations, facilities, inspection, or machinery testing when requested. Coordinating worker training and keeping workers informed in areas such as safety equipment. Determining requirements for safety device usage and installs, and direct installation of safety devices on machinery. Managing all facets of technology, including servers, wired and wireless networking, desktop and mobile devices. Providing technical support to all employees and customers of the company via hands-on training and email correspondence. Using Filemaker Pro for managing the production workflow. Performing imposition of publications using Adobe CS5. Updating and verifying address lists. Overseeing and maintaining network and production facility to maximize productivity and safety for all employees.
JOB REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field or computer technology plus 2 years’ job related experience or demonstrated skills/knowledge through course work or project in the areas of informatics, electronic devices, digital and microprocessor technology. We accept foreign equivalent degree based on education, training and/or experience. We also consider candidates with a suitable combination of education, training and experience.
